Mary Davis Michaud, MPP
(she/her/hers) Artist, Analyst, Educator, Parent Mary grew up "free range" in rural Wisconsin. For more than a decade, she has advocated for increasing opportunities for nature connection, especially among children and families. Combining training and experience in public health with a certification in horticultural therapy, along with advanced training in Zen Leadership, Mary serves as an advisor to Green Schoolyards America, most recently co-leading the Health Working Group for the National COVID-19 Outdoor Learning Initiative. After 20 years working in the health sector, she teaches health policy and advises undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin's La Follette School of Public Affairs. |

Meg Barrow, MS, OTR/L
(she/her/hers) Occupational Therapist, Nature Connection Mentor, Parent Meg grew up in the heart of the Driftless region among the bluffs and marshes of La Crosse, WI. She provides services through her private practice Thriving Wild, working with people across the lifespan to share knowledge and practices that support healthy child development and holistic human wellness. She also works as a youth nature connection mentor with Wild Harvest Nature Connection. She has trained in Ayres Sensory Integration, the Nature-Led Approach, and the Coyote Mentoring model. Sarah Pultorak, OTD, OTR/L
(she/her/hers) Occupational Therapist, Clinical Professor, Parent Sarah grew up in Kenosha, WI, catching grasshoppers in the fields and gazing at the vast expanse of Lake Michigan (with occasional dips in its cold waters). As an occupational therapist, she has worked in many clinical settings, but her happy home is facilitating groups designed to promote mental health among children, teens, and adults. Sarah is a registered yoga teacher trained in Alignment Yoga, and is inspired by the marriage of mindfulness, nature connection, and wellbeing. She has also participated in the adult nature connection training with Wild Harvest Nature connection. Currently, she is an Associate Clinical Professor in the OTD program at UW Madison where she strives to imbue classes with nuggets of nature connection wisdom. She is the parent of a little wild child and enjoys wandering slowly outdoors with him daily. |
